Let's Do This Laurelhurst!

This summer the Laurelhurst neighborhood (home to Brigit Communications Collective) launched its plan to complete historic district designation. We couldn't help ourselves -- we had to create a rally cry logo! We used the neighborhood's iconic Coe Circle statue of Joan of Arc, and played off her flag to shape our slogan (and of course we had to incorporate that great 1970's lettering used in the Laurelhurst logo. Big shout out to designer Rene Choy for helping to shape this v

We've been so busy our blog posts and emails have gotten a little behind (know any good communicators?), and now it is the final weekend of Third Rail Repertory Theatre's production of The Events, written by David Greig with music composed by John Browne. BUT even with just a few shows left we encourage you to check out this production, directed by Scott Yarbrough and featuring two of Portland's finest actors Maureen Porter and Joe Gibson. What are you doing Monday night? We've been working on Outside the Frame's Annual Gala screening of their new documentary Leaving Home, and new films by and with youth experiencing homelessness in Portland. And, it's this Monday, November 13! The event will also feature a Q&A with the young filmmakers and presentation of Lifetime Achievement Award to homeless activist Tia Plympton.
