We recently completed an identity and marketing project for Anne DuBois Pilates, and we love the outcome!
Anne is so dedicated to her craft and definitely walks the walk and talks the talk. Trained at master studio of Romana Kryzanowska, the heir to Joseph Pilates' legacy, Anne teaches pure Romana's Pilates, which is pretty rare in the Portland market. In fact, there are only three Romana's Pilates instructors in the city. As a recent New York City transplant, Anne needed help building her business and marketing herself. And that is where Team Brigit stepped in.
Our first nonprofit client came to us in a phone call one Friday afternoon from Nili Yosha, executive director of Outside the Frame. OTF is an organization that works with homeless youth to tell their stories through film. We had three weeks to pull together media outreach, create some social chatter, develop materials and fill the house at Revolution Hall for their gala screening of "The Lost Boys of Portlandia." Team Brigit was on it. And it all worked.
It helped that, fortunately, we had a great story to tell -- homeless youth expressing themselves through film, a creative "therapy" of sorts -- and, unfo...
Those sunlit bedrooms with fluffy white comforters and jumping kiddos bringing breakfast-in-bed. The handsome Dad follows with a special little blue box filled with a new jewel. Cards, flowers, massages, every kiss beginning with K.
Mom's expectations for Mother's Day should be pretty high, right?
Well, a recent independent study conducted by the research team here at Brigit shows that only about 30% of mothers surveyed said they're actually looking forward to Mother's Day. Flat out 25% responded "no." That leaves 45% in the "sorta" column -- which means we have a good opportunity to improve the Mother's Day "customer" exp...
A call-to-action tells your audience what you want them to do. And whether you are a small business, nonprofit or corporate giant, everyone is vying with your brand for that audience engagement. It's pursued and measured and fine-tuned. You watch the marketing stats -- open rates, likes, retweets -- and of course the monetization of interactions.
But what are you doing to creatively engage your customers with your brand? What are they getting from your brand experience? How does that engagement elevate the relevance of your product, program or service? Or create a loyalty...
The saying goes "April showers bring May flowers...", and in Portland rain is usually a guarantee no matter what month it is.
But on this very sunny April day with record heat, a video shoot was scheduled in the Pearl District -- and the script called for rain and umbrellas. So, the crew attached a fire hose to a hydrant and a 30-foot spout from the hose to produce a nice shower. And then the sun cast a perfect light on the scene.
Our umbrellas go up to that out-of-the-box thinking!
In the early summer of 2014, the Laurelhurst community in Portland was faced with the demolition of an iconic 1900s Spanish mission-style home that sat at the entry of their historic neighborhood. Fortunately for the home, the neighbors on the street where it lived included a historic preservation professional, a graphic designer, a communication expert and lots of willing volunteers.
Our first step was branding the home after the original owner, L.B. Markham, and developing a straightforward graphic approach -- tying the color to the notable red roof of the home. This gave us an easy w...
